PiYo What is it and why is it amazing?

I started PiYo 3 weeks ago and last night my husband commented on how nice, lean, and toned up my arms are getting. And it took me awhile but it finally dawned on me that it's because of PiYo!!! I haven't lifted in over 2 weeks so its not the weights it's my PiYo!!!

With only being on week 3 I am already seeing my body transform!!! I love this program and the way it makes me feel. I feel stretched out, happy, relaxed, and my lower back is no longer sore. I am a cardio, weight lifting girl who hates any thing slow, especially yoga and Pilates. But PiYo is different, it is a constantly moving, low impact, high intensity workout. PiYo is the perfect workout to slow us all down and have us focus on our strength, flexibility, and balance.

When it comes to working out no mater hat we do, we need to have strength, flexibility, and balance. This program will help us all get there. Whether you are a cardio person a weight lifter, a yoga lover, or someone who never works out or even cares to work out, then this is a must have program. This program will hel you run faster, give you flexibility, like never before, give you the abs that you have been wanting, and give you longer leaner muscles.

Today is the last day to get this program on sale!! Get PiYo today while it is still on sale and start feeling better!!!

Message me or email me at jgerity83@gmail.com and see how you can get PiYo for just $10.

Favorite Wedding Picture

Seeing this picture just melts my heart!! I think its one of my favorites from that day. This is right at the beginning of our ceremony after my dad gave me away! It just shows how happy we truly are! I love this man from the bottom of my heart and I always will!

When I

Here we are.....Almost 4 years later and we are newly weds with a marriage that is stronger than ever!!

Never in a million years would I have thought this is the guy, when we met! And now he means the world to me! He is my soul mate, my best friend, my business partner, my knight in shinning armor, my superman, my rock, my everything!

I love you Richard Yahner!! And I am so happy we have the rest of our lives to spend together and to make amazing memories!

first was being set up on a blind date with Rich, I was not excited. 1. I hated blind dates and 2. I just didn't want anything. But I went because I thought we would have nothing in common and it would be a one time thing! Haha well I was wrong!

Feeling Blessed

Sitting in the car on our way to my parents house Sunday night reflecting on the weekend, I started to cry. Why? Not because I was sad but because of how blessed I am. This weekend with family and friends celebrating our marriage was amazing and unforgettable!!!

From seeing everyone to everyone having fun to dancing with my best friend of 30 years to dancing with Rich to our wedding song (God Gave Me You by Blake Shelton) to dancing with my sorority girls, to laughing hard with my huntingdon girls to seeing my Roni (my mentor who helped me more than she will ever know with teaching and life) to family to saying goodbye to my cousin who will be over seas for a year to so much more!!

The car ride allowed me to reflect on my life and how so much has changed and how blessed I am to have met all of these people along my journey! Everyone that was at our reception has blessed me and / or Rich in my / our life / journey. And I am so grateful for all of them!!

I am also grateful for the man of my dreams! He does nothing but spoil me, love me, treat me like a queen, cheer me on, encourage me to follow my dreams and not think twice about it, and puts up with all my quirks (and trust me there are many of them)! I couldn't have found a more amazing guy and I am just overwhelmed with how lucky I am to have him and all that we have and all the people we have in our lives.

Being happy and blessed isn't about having materials and money. I have seen that clearly this past month. Its having friends, family, laughter, joy, and love that brings you happiness and a blessed life. And I am lucky to say I have all that.

Men Can Do It TOO!!

Hello! I talk about how I workout and enjoy it and the programs I do but I never talk about what my husband does and if he works out.

My husband is a football coach. He works 10-11 months out of the year and his hours our not normal especially during the season. He works with college kids that are seriously in the best shape of their lives. This year he is working with 16 wide receivers at a division 2 school. He needs to be in shape so that he can run around with his players.

So what does he do?

He does a combination of cardio and weight lifting. He does T25 for his cardio every day and then he does in home weight lifting program 3-4 days a week. I got him hooked on T25 which gives you a lot of bang for your buck in 25 minutes and he has been able to combine this with his intense weight lifting program. T25 is a great compliment to other forms of exercise like weight lifting in addition to other programs we have such as Body Beast, P90X and Pump.

Here is a picture of my husband is getting ready for the football season by getting in shape doing T25 and weight lifting.

Honeymoon.....Did you go on one?

Good Morning! It has been 5 days since we were married and my husband, Rich and I laugh because we don't feel that anything has changed. We have been together for almost 4 years and we have lived together now for almost a year and half. The only thing I said that has changed is the second ring on my finger and the ring on his. Which is a good thing!! I am glad things haven't changed!

As for Honeymoon, we decided to wait on one for many reasons.

1. We want to save up money and go some where really special and somewhere where we have never been. We are thinking maybe to another country.

2. Rich is a football coach and has to be back in the office by the end of July and if we went on a Honeymoon we would just feel too rushed when getting back.

3. We wanted to relax and enjoy the new married life at home before football season starts up and the craziness begins.

4. We did our wedding / reception in 2 parts. We have part 2 coming up in a week. Next Saturday July 19, to be exact. Our wedding was for just our parents and siblings. The Reception that we are calling a party, is for our family and close friends that we didn't want to have pay for plane tickets to come to California for the wedding. So much easier this way!!

So did you go on a Honeymoon? Would you go right away or would you wait and save up so you can go somewhere special?

My Reflection on my Wedding

As I sat at the airport on Tuesday and reflecting on my wedding, I started to tear up. It's hard for me to put into words the way I felt and feel today after being married 3 days ago.

My wedding was seriously my fairytale ending coming true!!! Monday evening I truly felt like a princess! I am a workout clothes, on, hair up type of girl but Monday I felt beautiful! I didn't want the night to end because I had a new found confidence in myself and in my future!

As stressed, as I was all week, when Monday came I was calm, relaxed, and ready to start the new chapter in my life. I was excited that the wedding had arrived and that I was going to marry my prince charming. I knew that marrying Rich was the right thing. I knew that spending the rest of my life with him, will be the best thing ever!!!  We will have ups and downs but he is my rock, my biggest fan, my soul mate.

As we rode in the limo, to the wedding, I was overcome with happiness! The ride gave me the time to enjoy the moments and prepare myself to what was to come! Nothing, though prepared me for the amazing feeling and overwhelming happiness I felt when I stepped out of the limo on to the beach and saw Rich standing at the end of the sand aisle.

The flowers, the scenery, the ceremony, the groom, the pictures were all perfect!!! I am soo excited to be the new Mrs. Yahner! I am not going to lie, I cried the entire time during the ceremony because it was truly everything I wanted and more! I felt like I was in a Disney movie and got my fairy tale ending like all the other princesses got in the movies!

My wedding was my fairytale ending and I got to marry my Prince Charming!! And I love that I get to remember it for the rest of my life!

Wedding Day!!

Good Morning!!!

It's my wedding day!!! I am so excited to marry my best friend today! I am getting married on Coronado Beach in California at Sunset! I have been planning for this day for over a year now and can't believe it is here!!

This morning I woke up and did T25! A year ago I bought T25 to help me get in shape for my wedding and add cardio back into my routine without having to go to the gym and get on a machine. T25 changed my life and gave me the health and fitness, not to mention abs I have been looking for! I love T25 and look forward to doing it every day. Today I felt it was appropriate to start my wedding day off with the man that started my journey and got me to lose the extra weight I was carrying around.

For breakfast, I had my blueberry oatmeal, chocolate shakeology to give me the extra boost of energy I will need and to help me with the fun, crazy, busy day ahead!

As for my plans today, I am getting married at sunset so I  have the whole day to relax and get things done. My hair appointment is at 2 and the Limo is coming for me at 5:30. I plan on just taking in the day and enjoying every moment with my family and my in-laws. There will be no stress today!

What is one piece of advice you would give a bride on her special day? I would love to hear it for myself!

4th of July Survival Tips

Happy 4th of July!!! I hope you all have an amazing day, fun times with family and friends, and enjoy the beautiful fire work display in your hometown.

Here are a few survival tips I came up with to help you stay on track but still enjoy the festivities!

1. Get your workout in. No ifs, ands, or buts. No excuses. Whatever you do fit it in because you will regret it later.

2. Drink your shake before you go! Mix up your shakeology and drink it before you head out to all the parties! Why? Drinking your shake before you go out will help you with your cravings, temptations, and let you stomach now it is full so you aren't tempted to pig out or over eat.

3. Position yourself away from all the temptations and food in general. At most parties there is always a huge table full of food and that is where everyone gathers. Stay away from the table and make your own gathering away from the food and adult beverages.

4. Position yourself by the fruits and veggies. If you have to stand around a table full of food, then position yourself around the fruits and veggies. If you are going to be tempted to grab a bite while socializing at least make sure your grabbing the healthy food. And be aware of what you are putting into your body and how much. You don't want to overeat on any food, even the healthy food.

5. Drink lots and lots of WATER. Make sure you have a glass or a bottle of water in your hands at all times! If you are going to fill up on anything, fill up on water. When you are tempted to add more food to your plate or take an extra serving or go after the tempting foods, take a sip of water, chug it if you must. Nourish your body with water and make sure you aren't eating when you are really just dehydrated and thirsty.

6. Allow yourself one small, rational, portion controlled treat. Having a small treat wont ruin your diet. Just don't make it a huge treat or a couple treats. If there is something there that you want to try, try it. Allow yourself to have a small piece. Don't deprive yourself of a small treat, because then you will e made and not stick to your plan, goals, and new lifestyle.

7. HAVE FUN!!! It's the 4th. Have fun with your family and friends today. Enjoy the day and don't over think things or over eat!

HAPPY 4th of JULY to all of you!!!

Week Before My Wedding!!!

Good Morning! It is July 1st and I am 6 days away from marrying the love of my life. We are getting married in California on July 7th (yes it is a Monday) haha. We are getting married at Coronado Beach at Sunset. My thought is, when getting married on the beach, you can get married any day, Right? :-)

So Why California? Why Coronado?

I am from PA and have lived there most of my life along with my fiancé. However, 6 years ago his brother moved out to California followed by his dad and then his mom. My fiancé's father is sick and is unable to fly back to PA for a wedding so we decided to come out here and get married on the beach, so that he is able to attend and see his oldest son get married. (I mean I am not complaining one bit!!!) I love California!! The weather is perfect and the sunshine all the time, except in the morning and especially the month of June, which they call June Gloom, but I love it!!!

So we are doing somewhat of a getaway wedding or a destination wedding, but we will be coming back to PA to have the reception or like we are calling it the big party / celebration for our family and friends.

I am excited to marry the love of my life, but this whole wedding thing is expensive and stressful.

How did you get married? Did you find it to be a stressful time or was it easy for you?

This is a picture of me and my fiancé a year ago at the exact place we are going to get married at in 6 days.
