You may not believe me but I didn't always look this way! I wasn't always a clean eater and fitness freak.
I was FAT!! In high school I was fat. I was a cheerleader and I was the fattest one on the squad. I didn't workout, I didn't run, I didn't eat clean. I was overweight, unhappy, and bloated all the time. I didn't do anything about but I never felt confident in myself or pretty. It took me till I went to college to workout and do something about it, but I still wasn't doing much for myself even though I was going to the rec center daily. I was in college and the eating healthy was hard and the alcohol was calling my name. So I really didn't start losing weight and feel great about myself until I was introduced to Beachbody. Yes after college, when I was teaching, I was working out, but I wasn't doing the combination of working out and eating clean. I had the mentality that if I worked hard that day, I could eat more. And I always had the mentality that gluten free was way better for you when it came to the pastas and breads. Yes gluten free is better for you, but the breads and pastas, and chips and pretzels are all STILL processed!
It takes a lot of learning. And its not easy to make a life style change. I know! I have struggled all my life with it. BUT it is worth it. The way I feel after a day of clean eating, the power I feel after working out, its all worth it! Plus just feeling more confident in the clothes I wear, and the people I talk to is worth it more than the weight I lost.
Here is a picture of me in High School (Senior) Cheering and Me now today. Things are possible. Change is Possible. Happiness is possible. Confidence is possible. YOU JUST have to go after it.

Newly Weds Tip 1 - Prep the week ahead
I am no expert at being a newly wed or having a marriage that is perfect! But I do have some tips to share with you, of things that work for my husband and I, being married only 4 months. Marriage is 100% commitment from both sides and 100% effort from both sides. I hate the saying a marriage is 50 - 50. Its not! Its 100% commitment, dedication, and effort from both sides!
Any who! I will get off that soap box and give you my first tip!
TIP #1 - Prepare for the week ahead! - What do I mean by that? My husband works fulltime outside of the house, where I am fortunate enough to be able to work from home or anywhere on the go! We both get up early, him to get ready for work and for me to get my workout in before the day gets hectic!
When it comes to working out - I do not allow any one (right now because we are kid-less, I know it will change when we have kids) to interrupt my workout! I get 100% focused on my workout and do not want to be interrupted for stupid things. WELL lets just say our first month of marriage and LIVING with my parents (not ideal), I was interrupted several days in a row because my husband couldn't find the apples, or shake packets, or bars. So by the 3rd day in a row of being interrupted, getting mad at him, and then ending up in an argument before 7am in the morning was not ideal to me. Instead I took it upon myself to set up the week in advance for him. I laid out his 2 snacks and shakeology packet for the week, so that all he had to do was walk into the dining room and grab a set. After I did this, I showed it to him, which made his life easier and me a much happier wife the next day because he didn't interrupt my workout!
I know this might sound like common sense but it wasn't for us. We didn't think about these things before and they were the little things that were causing stress on our marriage. Setting out his meals for the week is easy and takes a matter of 5 minutes on a Sunday afternoon! He his much happier and so am I!
So if you are sick of being interrupted or asked where things are in the morning when you are trying to get ready yourself or workout or get the kids up, try this. It has made life so much simpler for the both of us.

Rest Days - They are IMPORTANT
No Insanity for me today. This week has been stressful. I went to bed feeling like I was hit by a truck and every muscle in my body hurt. I slept in this morning and plan on making it up this weekend. I love my husband and he needs me now so I had to listen to my body and not workout. Rests days are hard for me, but when it comes to your health you need to listen. Why? Because if you don't listen you are more likely to hurt yourself and injury your body and get worn down and sick. So listen to your body and just watch what you eat that day and don't over do it! :)

Weekend Motiation
Good Morning! Happy Friday!!!
You did it!! All that stands between you and the weekend is the next 8 hours!! Remember you can do it! Just breath and believe!
This weekend work hard to stay on track. Make a to do list for each day! Make sure you fit your workout in or some physical activity that will get your heart rate up and a sweat going. Also make sure you stick to your meal plan. Don't fall of track and ruin all the hard work you did this weekend for that beer and pizza or those chips and dip! Allow yourself a treat if you want one but don't give in to the football party food! Remember you have goals to meet. Remember your why and what you are working for! Drink lots of water and most importantly, believe in yourself!
