Newly Weds Tip 1 - Prep the week ahead
I am no expert at being a newly wed or having a marriage that is perfect! But I do have some tips to share with you, of things that work for my husband and I, being married only 4 months. Marriage is 100% commitment from both sides and 100% effort from both sides. I hate the saying a marriage is 50 - 50. Its not! Its 100% commitment, dedication, and effort from both sides!
Any who! I will get off that soap box and give you my first tip!
TIP #1 - Prepare for the week ahead! - What do I mean by that? My husband works fulltime outside of the house, where I am fortunate enough to be able to work from home or anywhere on the go! We both get up early, him to get ready for work and for me to get my workout in before the day gets hectic!
When it comes to working out - I do not allow any one (right now because we are kid-less, I know it will change when we have kids) to interrupt my workout! I get 100% focused on my workout and do not want to be interrupted for stupid things. WELL lets just say our first month of marriage and LIVING with my parents (not ideal), I was interrupted several days in a row because my husband couldn't find the apples, or shake packets, or bars. So by the 3rd day in a row of being interrupted, getting mad at him, and then ending up in an argument before 7am in the morning was not ideal to me. Instead I took it upon myself to set up the week in advance for him. I laid out his 2 snacks and shakeology packet for the week, so that all he had to do was walk into the dining room and grab a set. After I did this, I showed it to him, which made his life easier and me a much happier wife the next day because he didn't interrupt my workout!
I know this might sound like common sense but it wasn't for us. We didn't think about these things before and they were the little things that were causing stress on our marriage. Setting out his meals for the week is easy and takes a matter of 5 minutes on a Sunday afternoon! He his much happier and so am I!
So if you are sick of being interrupted or asked where things are in the morning when you are trying to get ready yourself or workout or get the kids up, try this. It has made life so much simpler for the both of us.

Life s not a spectator Sport
Life is not a spectator sport; it's a contact sport, and there are no practice sessions, and you've been in the game from day one.
Life is for sure a contact sport! You are always having things thrown at you, both good and bad. However it's how you handle those things that defines who you are and how you play the game!
Don't quit or give up because the game got to hard or didn't go the way you wanted it to. Keep going, relook at your plan and strategize a new one!
Remember do the thing and you shall have the power. The only way to have the power, to win the game, is to do the thing, learn by doing, and keep at it!
Whether you are winning or loosing, do it, play the game, get physical and strategize and plan for the ups and downs. But don't quit and don't walk away. Because then you will live with regret the rest of your life.
Need help? Message me! I am here for you and would love to help you!!

Week 1 of month 2 Insanity
Week 1 of Month 2 of Insanity will be over tomorrow and all I have to say is OMG!!!! Month 2 is no joke! All the workouts are any where from 45-60 minutes, they are intense and make you go to the MAX!!! I love the workouts though!! And honestly with all the changing around and intervals, you don't realize it is an hour workout.
With these workouts I have burned up to 600 calories during the workouts, I have noticed that I sweat ALOT more, and that I not only feel great after them, but I get HIGH off the accomplishment that I actually finished it.
The intervals are a minute longer and the moves are 15 seconds longer than the first month. However, on the 3rd round he doesn't end with a power move, he ends with a slower, bring your heart rate back down type of move. The moves are definitely more dynamic, intense, and more powerful.
I still say that this program can be done by anyone, AS LONG, as you go at your own pace and concentrate on your form rather than your speed! Month 2 is definitely harder, but I LOVE it! I love every workout in Insanity!! I can't wait for next month to do ASYLUM!!! haha I think I have officially gone CRAZY!!! :)

A Body in Motion
Good Morning! Happy Saturday!!!
A body at rest tends to stay at rest---and a body in motion tends to stay in motion.
That's why it is so important to be active!!! Once your in motion, it's easy to keep going and stick to the routine you set for yourself. Once you stop and get off track or routine it's hard to change from rest to motion again!
We all fall off track sometimes but if we allow ourselves to stay off track for more than a day or 2 we struggle to get back on. The longer we wait to get back on track the harder it is!
Can you get back on track? Yes!!! You can do anything you want! You just need to remember how you felt when you were on track and want it bad enough to get out of the funk!
How? Just take one step at a time. Do one workout a day. Focus on one clean meal at a time and you will get back on track! Give yourself 7 days and you will see how within just week!
I believe in you and know YOU can do it!! So start today! Take the weekend to get back on track and make a plan!
Need help? Need motivation and support? I am here for you!! Message me!!!

Friday Week 3 Day 5
Good Morning!!! Happy Friday! Limitations exist only if you let them!! Don't limit yourself!! Be who you want to be and do what you want to do! If you want to workout, workout, if you want to eat clean, eat clean!! Do you!! If I limited myself to what I thought and felt, than I wouldn't be doing insanity because I thought I couldn't handle! But I am doing it every day, even on days like today where it was hard! I struggled to get through it, but I kept going, even if it was at a slower pace than I had been doing and much slower than what they were doing on TV. But I didn't give up. I kept going. Don't give up yourself! Push past your limitations! Believe in yourself!!!
Today was a hard day! I am not going to lie. Usually I am sweating and out of breath but feel good. I usually drink 70 ounces of water each workout. But today I struggled to get my second bottle down, and I struggled at the end finishing the push ups and plank runs. I felt sick to my stomach, but I slowed down and pushed past it. Why did I feel that way? I am not sure. I think it was because I had a chiropractor appointment and he adjusted me. So I think I need to make my appointments on Wednesdays from now so that Thursday - Cardio Recovery Days work better and don't mess up my adjustment.

#TBT
Living a healthy lifestyle is hard! But I have learned to love, myself enough to do it. Do you?
Any one can workout, go to the gym, run, walk but that is only part of it. The other bigger part is eating healthy. It's not going on a diet and doing it 20 days and then going back to your old routine. It's a lifestyle change.
If you can see from my picture of winter 2009, where I worked out daily, if not twice a day, I had the mentality that if I worked out for a good hour or even twice a day I could eat anything including those fries or that ice cream. Um however, that obviously wasn't the case! However I realized a few years later that I was doing something wrong because I wasn't seeing results or I was only seeing very little results, in both my clothes and the scale. I was not gaining weight but I wasn't losing weight or getting cut like I wanted too. I was unhappy with the results.
However, thanks to Beachbody and clean eating I learned that the workout isn't 100% of getting results. Working out is definately part of it you just need to do both, workout and eat clean everyday, including snacks. You must eat 5-6 times a day. Remember nutrition is 80% of it and working out is only 20%. So if you have to choose which one to focus on first, I would recommend you doing the nutrition part and then when you have that down throw the workouts in too!
I know you can change your lifestyle. If I did it anyone can do it! :)

Day 3!!! Whoop Whoop. I made it half way through the first week!!
When it comes to Insanity, it truly is a mind game! I am learning each day to psych myself up before I go to bed about the next days workout. Why? Because I know if I do that, then I will be excited to workout and want to get out of bed. Yes, it is hard for me to get out of bed on days that I have no motivation at all, so I create my own. I tell myself that I am going to be better than Tayna and that I am not going to give up when she does or when someone else does. I remind myself of why I am doing this and what my end goal is. And trust me, with insanity you need to remind yourself daily!
However I do see why people love this program. The feeling I get after completing the workout is like a high. I not only feel like I just won and accomplished something great, but my body feels amazing and stretched out and good all over. Yes tired but a good tired and good sore! Have you done Insanity? Would you be willing to try it? You can do anything you but your mind to! Remember its all mind over matter. :)

Plyometric Cardio Circuit Day 2 of Insanity
Good Morning!!! Challenge Accepted!! Today was the true test of Insanity. It was 42 minutes long and I burned 400 Calories!!! I told my husband that I probably could have burned more but I was learning the moves and trying to pace myself and not jeopardize my form. I did my best and am forgetting the rest. I know that each time I do this workout I will get stronger. I am proud of myself for how well I did do the first time through.
So what was the work out like? Well it was 42 minutes long and the first 10 minutes was a fast pace warm out circuit. We went through the circuit 3 times each, starting at 30 seconds per move working up to a minute per move. It was good and got the heart rate up and the blood flowing for the morning. Then he moved into a 10 minute stretch where we stretched all our muscles, especially the legs. After that we moved into 2 different circuit's that were fast paced and up and down. The circuits went through 3 times each getting longer each time through. There wasn't a lot of jumping in this workout. There were 3 different types of plank moves, where I had to slow down and go at my own pace and I had to stop and get into childs pose for a few seconds to stretch my arms.
This work reminded me of how he sets up Speed 2.0, Core Speed, and Speed 3.0 in T25 however, instead of it getting shorter by round 3 it gets longer. :)
Am I in love with this program? Not yet, but I see myself falling in love with it. It was definitely the switch up I needed. I can't wait to see my results in 60 days!
