Transformation Tuesday - Laura M
This is Laura. She is a Beachbody Coach, she is a mom of 2 cute boys, a wife, and a full time 2nd grade teacher. She started with Insanity and Drinking Shakeology a year ago. While combining those 2 things, along with eating clean and being part of an accountability group she lost 17 pounds!! If it wasn't for the accountability group she would have given up after day 5, because lets be honest, Insanity isn't the easiest program out there. Because of the accountability group she was inspired and changed. After Insanity she T25, p90x3, and the 21 day fix. She is now doing Insanity Max 30 and loving it. After Insanity and the amazing group she was in and the fabulous results she got, she decided to pay it forward! She became a coach.
Beachbody Programs work, Shakeology works, clean eating works they all work together but the thing that makes them all come together is the accountability groups. Laura said it herself, she NEVER would have stuck to it, if it weren't for the group she was in and the people cheering her on and motivating her.
When it comes to a lifestyle change, you need a group of like minded people that are doing the same thing you are and are there to support you and cheer you on.
That is the greatest thing about Beachbody! You get the WHOLE package! You get the support, the fitness program, and the nutrition. That is why people get the RESULTS they get!

Start of Week 3 of Insanity Max 30 - The results are CRAZY
Start of Week 3 of Insanity Max 30!
So today starts week 3 of Insanity Max 30 and all I can say is I am in love! This program pushes you to your max. It seriously is a game with your head and your body. You know your body can keep going but your head is telling you to stop! I hate it and love it at the same time! It really challenges you mentally. Last week I descried the difference between Insanity and Insanity Max 30.
Well today I want to give you my results both working out and body results.
Working out has been a challenge for even someone like me that has pushed themselves with Insanity, Asylum, and Asylum 2. Max 30 has challenged my mind and body but each day, each week I get stronger. Week 1 I only made it to minute 16 before I collapsed and needed a break in Cardio Challenge, Week 2 I made it to 17:25 minutes before needing a break, and today I made it to minute 27!!! I was so excited that I made it that long and yes what would have been another 3 minutes, but like I told my clients, I wasn't going to compromise my form to make it to 30. So I maxed out! Do I feel it? Heck YA! My arms are sore and there were many times I wanted to max out but I kept telling myself, its only 30 seconds. You can do it for 30 seconds and that is seriously what got me through all the moves and to minute 27.
As for my body, I can't believe the results I am already seeing after ONLY 2 weeks!!! I love 3 pounds, I lost 1 inch in my chest, my arms and thighs stayed the same, I lost 1 inch in my waist, 1 inch in my hips, 1 inch in my butt, and 1/2 an inch in calves!! So over all I have lost 4 1/2 inches in 2 weeks!!! I cant wait to see what I have lost come week 8!
This program is amazing and challenging all at the same time! I love it and I love the results. I am seeing my abs pop through again. I love that its only 30 minutes. There is so much to this program that I could seriously talk to you about it all day.
However, if you are interested in finding out more about Insanity Max 30 email me and I will tell you more about it. Email - Jgerity83@gmail.com

Health and Fitness Tip #4 Relieve those achy muscles.
Relieve those achy muscles
After a grueling workout, there's a
good chance you're going to be feeling it (we're talking sore thighs, tight
calves). Relieve post-fitness aches by submerging your lower body in a warm
bath (85 to 95 degrees Fahrenheit; with Epsom salts for 15 to 20 minutes. Also Results and Recovery helps you aid in muscle recovery faster. And advice I love: Any one that works out, runs, or has any kind of stress
should consider getting one to two massages per month to help aid in
recovery. Now that's speaking my language! Also remember to drink LOTS of water through out the day to help your body flush your muscle soreness.

3 Day Refresh Meals and Reults
3 Day Refresh is complete!! I started Wednesday and made it all the way through. This is my second time doing it and this time seemed harder. I was more tired and my blood sugar was low! I took 2 hour naps the first 2 days. However, it was a great 3 days!
Day 1 - was hard becauase I was extremely tired and my blood sugar was low most of the day. However, I never felt hungry and the meals were a lot like what I eat on a daily basis.
Day 2 - was a little like day 1 except I wasn't as tired and I could tell I had more energy however, I still took a nap on day 2.
Day 3 - was amazing! This is the day it all turned around! I had more energy then I had the past 2 days, I didn't take any naps, my blood sugar never dropped AND I did cave when I had to pass out the candy and smell it all! I felt in control and powerful!
Day after - I know a lot of people think that you gained the weight back right away after you do it because you start eating again! Well I actually continued to lose weight! I felt great and added my diet back in like I had before but had more control over it and wasn't eating just to eat!
Results - Both my hubby and I did the 3 Day Refresh - I started out weighting 120.8 and had a waist of 30.5 after three days I weighted 117.4 with a waist of 29.5 and today I lost another .4 ounces and weight 117.0.
My hubby started out weighing 180.2 and had a waist line of 33.5 and after three days he weighted 175.0 and had a waist line of 32.5.
We each lost an inch in our waist's and he lost 5 pounds and I lost 3.4 in 3 days. We both feel healthier and more in control of our bodies and eating than we did the week before we did it!

Breakfast Day 1-3. Each morning I had a Chocolate Vegan Shake with water and Frozen blueberries or Strawberries
Lunch Time - Each day I had a Vannilla Fresh Shake with Frozen Strawberries with a side of baby carrots and 1 1/2 teaspoons of Almond Butter
Dinner Day 1 - Vanilla Fresh Shake with Ice and Cinnamon, Cucumber Tomato Salad, and 1 cup of Vegetable Broth
Dinner Day 2 and 3 - Vanilla Fresh with Cinnamon and ice, water, 8 legs of asapargus with teaspoon of sliced almonds, and 1 cup of Veggetable Broth
Have you thought about doing the 3 day refresh? Its great for anyone that has gone on vacation, had a holiday, needs a jump start back into their healthy eating, or someone that just wants to kick start a new workout program. If you are looking to do this program and want accountability, support, and help through the 3 days then message me or email me at jgerity83@gmail.com. I would love to help you out. Also if you are wondering where to get the three day refresh then head over to my site and check it out and order it. www.beachbodycoach.com/jgerity83

Start of week 8 of INsanity!!!
I can't believe its already the second to last week of Insanity! There are 10 weeks but week 10 is just a recovery week, so this is really the second to last week! All I can say about it is, I LOVE IT and I hate it at the same time. This program is seriously amazing.
The second month of insanity is really when you see results both physically and mentally. Going an hour hard, is nothing now to me, when it was tough the first month, my endurance has increased majorly since the first week and month, and my body has drastically changed! I have muscles popping out that I have never seen before, all from this program. I am not lifting or doing any other program. I love the program and the results I am getting so far and Can't wait to post my befores and afters.
This program is a challenge, but its a challenge that everyone should take, if they have the time.

This is my Fit Test Results! I actually went up in every category. Some only by 1 or 2 and others by 10 or more! So excited to see that I am getting Stronger and Better each time.
Max Interval Circuit gets me every time! I am drenched in sweat and exhausted by the end but at the same time high as a kite because I finished it and kicked butt!!

End of Recovery Week
Well the end of the recovery week has come and the start of month 2 is upon me. Tomorrow is day 1 of month two or day 1 of week 6. In this month its all about Max. Max what you ask? I don't have a clue haha!! Honestly, I am too scared to look ahead and watch the DVD's like I normally do. So I will wait in suspense to find out! Tomorrow's workout will be exactly 60 minutes long!!! I haven't worked out that long FOREVER. Looking forward to the challenge and the calorie burn.
Today I did the fit test for the 3rd time. I increased in some areas, decreased in other areas, and stayed the same in the other ones.
Here are my results to hold me accountable.

A Body in Motion
Good Morning! Happy Saturday!!!
A body at rest tends to stay at rest---and a body in motion tends to stay in motion.
That's why it is so important to be active!!! Once your in motion, it's easy to keep going and stick to the routine you set for yourself. Once you stop and get off track or routine it's hard to change from rest to motion again!
We all fall off track sometimes but if we allow ourselves to stay off track for more than a day or 2 we struggle to get back on. The longer we wait to get back on track the harder it is!
Can you get back on track? Yes!!! You can do anything you want! You just need to remember how you felt when you were on track and want it bad enough to get out of the funk!
How? Just take one step at a time. Do one workout a day. Focus on one clean meal at a time and you will get back on track! Give yourself 7 days and you will see how within just week!
I believe in you and know YOU can do it!! So start today! Take the weekend to get back on track and make a plan!
Need help? Need motivation and support? I am here for you!! Message me!!!

Living a healthy lifestyle is hard! But I have learned to love, myself enough to do it. Do you?
Any one can workout, go to the gym, run, walk but that is only part of it. The other bigger part is eating healthy. It's not going on a diet and doing it 20 days and then going back to your old routine. It's a lifestyle change.
If you can see from my picture of winter 2009, where I worked out daily, if not twice a day, I had the mentality that if I worked out for a good hour or even twice a day I could eat anything including those fries or that ice cream. Um however, that obviously wasn't the case! However I realized a few years later that I was doing something wrong because I wasn't seeing results or I was only seeing very little results, in both my clothes and the scale. I was not gaining weight but I wasn't losing weight or getting cut like I wanted too. I was unhappy with the results.
However, thanks to Beachbody and clean eating I learned that the workout isn't 100% of getting results. Working out is definately part of it you just need to do both, workout and eat clean everyday, including snacks. You must eat 5-6 times a day. Remember nutrition is 80% of it and working out is only 20%. So if you have to choose which one to focus on first, I would recommend you doing the nutrition part and then when you have that down throw the workouts in too!
I know you can change your lifestyle. If I did it anyone can do it! :)

The Secret to Insanity's Pure Cardio
Hi! Today I started my morning out with Pure Cardio. This one is tough. Its not interval training and there are no circuits which mean no set breaks or time to drink water and catch your breath. However, today I decided to try something new. With this workout the first 10 minutes are dedicated to a warm up which is like a workout in itself, then 7 minutes of stretching. Once the Stretching is over you get a 30 second water break and then you start PURE Cardio for 15 minutes straight, doing a move for a minute straight! So what did I do? I broke it down. I told myself to go hard for 5 minutes straight and then after the 5th move / minute I stopped for a quick water break and then jumped back into it. I did this 3 times and I honestly felt better, stronger, and able to actually push harder and stronger then I did last week when I tried to go straight through for 15 minutes. This really helped and I know there will be days I need to break it down smaller and do it every 3 moves / minutes. And that is okay. I don't want to jeopardize my form and I don't want to get hurt.
So what did the water have to do with it? Did you know:
60% of your total body weight is water
75% of your muscles is water
Assists in the regulation of internal body temperature
Protects and cushions vital organs
Aids the digestive system
Don’t wait until you are thirsty! Thirst is an early sign of dehydration and if you wait until you are thirsty, you have already begun to dehydrate.
Drink water before, during, and after exercise.
Dress for the environment.
During the warm months exercise at the coolest time of the day – early morning or late evening, and wear the lightest clothing that you can (lightweight t-shirts, shorts, low-cut socks).
During the cold months, wear several layers of clothing so that you can remove layers as you begin to sweat.

This is my 3rd bottle of water already this morning. I drink 70 oz just during Insanity. Make sure you are drinking enough. I always try to drink 225-300 ounces a day.

Start of Week 2!!!
I just want to shout it from the roof top that I have made it to week 2 in insanity and I am actually starting to like it now!!! WHAT WHAT?!?! I was scared to start this program because of the name and the crazy moves and the high intensity, but let me tell you, I learned something, if you go into this mentally telling yourself you can do it and to just take one move at a time and focus on the move not the speed, YOU CAN DO IT!!!!
Tip for today: Believe in yourself! Don't let others thoughts and opinions discourage you from doing something new, trying a new work out, getting a new job, or eating healthy and clean. DO YOU and do what you want to do. Just believe in yourself and you will accomplish great things!!

Day 6 / Start of Week 2 of Insanity
Yesterday was day 6! I repeated the workout I did on Tuesday, Plyometrics Cardio Circuit. Each time I do this work out, I like it more and more. I actually felt stronger and had more endurance this time around then I did the first time doing it. I love the feeling afterwards of accomplishment. I am excited I finished week 1 and Can't wait to see what week 2 brings.
Week 2 Meal Plan
Here is my meal plan for this week. With Insanity you definitely BURN a ton of calories and are seriously HUNGRY all the time. I make sure I eat every 3 hours max. I am doing a combination of the 21 Day fix and Insanity meal plan. My goal is to eat 1500 calories every day, if not more and I am making sure that they healthy foods and not junk food or processed foods.

Day 5 of Insanity
Hello!!! Happy Friday!!! I got my insane insanity workout in this morning!! And all I can say is Oh Em Gee!!!! It was amazing, intense and crazy!!! When he says Pure Cardio, he means pure cardio. We started out, just like every video and did a 10 minute warm up, which is a workout in itself! Then we moved into a 6 minute stretch and then we did the Pure Cardio. The Pure Cardio in itself is 18 minutes long. You do each move for a minute, so overall you do 18 moves, without stopping and without his water breaks. Now you can stop check your heart rate grab a drink of water, but I didn't do it often and I kept moving. It was definitely intense, but it was awesome. I feel amazing after it!!! I loved every minute of it and can't wait till next week to do it all over again but better and harder! Tomorrow is a repeat of Monday's workout and then Sunday is an off day. I can't believe that I made it through the first week!! It is all due to the support and motivational group I am running. We are all doing this together and it is truly inspiring to hear each other encourage one another!

Plyometric Cardio Circuit Day 2 of Insanity
Good Morning!!! Challenge Accepted!! Today was the true test of Insanity. It was 42 minutes long and I burned 400 Calories!!! I told my husband that I probably could have burned more but I was learning the moves and trying to pace myself and not jeopardize my form. I did my best and am forgetting the rest. I know that each time I do this workout I will get stronger. I am proud of myself for how well I did do the first time through.
So what was the work out like? Well it was 42 minutes long and the first 10 minutes was a fast pace warm out circuit. We went through the circuit 3 times each, starting at 30 seconds per move working up to a minute per move. It was good and got the heart rate up and the blood flowing for the morning. Then he moved into a 10 minute stretch where we stretched all our muscles, especially the legs. After that we moved into 2 different circuit's that were fast paced and up and down. The circuits went through 3 times each getting longer each time through. There wasn't a lot of jumping in this workout. There were 3 different types of plank moves, where I had to slow down and go at my own pace and I had to stop and get into childs pose for a few seconds to stretch my arms.
This work reminded me of how he sets up Speed 2.0, Core Speed, and Speed 3.0 in T25 however, instead of it getting shorter by round 3 it gets longer. :)
Am I in love with this program? Not yet, but I see myself falling in love with it. It was definitely the switch up I needed. I can't wait to see my results in 60 days!

Day 1 of insanity
Good Morning!! Happy Monday! Day 1 of insanity is complete! I did the Fit test this morning. It was 26 minutes long. There was about a 5 minute warm up and 5 minute cool down. The fit test was 8 different moves done for a minute straight. The moves were different types of squat jumps, push ups, planks, kicks, power jacks, power knees, etc. All the moves were power moves that worked every inch of your body. I am not going to lie, I am actually sore after doing it. But it felt great and I am excited to see how my numbers increase over the next 60 days. The fit test is done again on day 15, so we will see then. Tomorrows work out is Plyo Cardio Circuit, can' wait to update you on how that goes. I am doing all these workouts in the morning. I am morning person and prefer to start my day with my workout. So 6 AM every morning is when I will be doing Insanity.
Here are my Fit Test results for Day 1.

Insanity starts Tomorrow!!!!
Tomorrow I start my journey with Insanity. Day 1 will be the Fit Test. I am excited and nervous at the same time. I am excited to start something new. Yet, I am nervous because of how long it is, how intense it is going to be, and I don't want to give up!! So you will be taking this journey with me and being my accountability partner. I plan on posting 5-7 days a week about my journey and how I truly feel, what I like and don't like and my meal plan.
I will be doing the 21 day fix meal plan along with the insanity program. I have to go up in containers from where I am at now. I am not happy about that because I struggle getting all my carbs / starches in on a daily basis because I have celiac's and have learned to live without them the past 14 years. However, I will eat everything I am told to eat because I want to have the energy and ability to do Insanity and say I finished it!
Here is a copy for my meal plan for week 1 of insanity.
Check back with me tomorrow on how Insanity Day 1 Fit Test Goes!! :)

Free Insanity Group
Do you own insanity? Did you buy it and never do it? Is it collecting dust? Do you wish you could pull it out and do it, but need the accountability and motivation?
Guess what?!?! I bought insanity and I am going to start it August 25 with a prep and preseason starting August 18! I NEED all the motivation and accountability partners to help me stick with it! Why?!? Because I have NOT done a workout longer than 30 minutes in over a year! I want to challenge myself and say that I did it! Will you help me? Will you join me in my to insanity and beyond fitness group?
Oh and did I mention the group is FREE too!! All you need is your insanity program or P90x program!
If you want to go insane with me and others, message me or email me at jgerity83@gmail.com. And if you don't have the program but want to get it and do it? Message me! The more the merrier!!! 😃
