We Are Family - Join our Family

Who can succeed as a coach?

Anyone that is motivated, driven, and loves helping others.

Do you have to be a fitness expert? Do you have to be skinny? Do you have to be 100% perfect with your eating? Do you have to LOVE working out?

HECK NO!!!! No one is perfect! I don't eat 100% perfect, I didn't start out with the body I wanted, I didn't love working out like I do now, and I sure don't consider myself a fitness expert. I was a teacher before I started this. I have an undergrad in Elementary Teaching and a Masters in Special Ed. I have no degree in physical education or fitness.

It doesn't matter your background, your current job, if you were a collage drop out or have your PHD in physics. Beachbody loves everyone because we all are unique and we each bring something different to the table.

My team / Fitness Family is made up of full time moms, teachers, behavior specialist, nurses, realtors, photographers, military wives, and many more. We are all on this journey together and we work together as a team to help each other reach those goals.

And now I am looking to expand my team / family by 5.I am looking for 5 men or women that are honest, dedicated, driven, family oriented, positive, and teachable.

I will teach you everything you need to know to run a successful business from home, whether it be part time or full time. And help you make $250+ your first month as long as do everything that is taught to you! And all you are required to do is help people reach their health and fitness goals!

Health and Fitness Tip #30 - How to beat the Excuse, "I don't have time"

Did you know the number one Exercise Excuse is 'I Don't Have Time.' But did you know that we all have the same time in a day and that we choose to spend it differently. Question for you...

"How much television do you watch?"  Think about how much time you watch TV. Within a half hour of one show you could get a good workout in and be done for the day! TV takes up  A LOT of time. More time than we would like to admit. So how do you fix that?

1. TURN THE TV OFF. If you have Netflix, Hulu, or DVR - then record it, catch up on it after you finish your workout. Remember the TV Isn't going to give you the goals you want. PLUS a lot of people mindlessly graze while watching TV. Making it harder to reach your goal and putting you further from it.
OR
2. If you insist on watching TV, then during your shows, use a resistance band for strength training, or walk in place. There are many exercises that you can do - push ups, jumping jacks, sit ups, etc. all while watching your shows.
OR
3. If you don't have a long stretch of time, you could break up your workout into shorter sessions. Some activity is better than none. We find time for things we value. Don't you value your health and longevity?

NEW RECIPE - GLUTEN FREE / GRAIN FREE BLUEBERRY MUFFINS

I don't know about you but I love my muffins! I don't make them often or eat them much, hence why I am always making a blueberry muffin shake for breakfast. But on occasion I will make muffins. This is one of my favorite gluten free / grain free blueberry muffin recipes. They don't last long in my house, which is another reason I don't make them often. And yes they husband approved and non gluten free eaters approve too!

Gluten Free / Grain Free Blueberry Muffins

Cook Time: 10 minutes
Yield: 1 dozen

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup almond flour
  • 1/2 cup coconut flour
  • 1/2 cup hazelnut flour

Health and Fitness Tip #17 - Snag the Right Support

Snag the right support - When it comes to Sports Bras What do you get?

Sure, your yoga sports bras works great for downward dog—but when it comes to high intensity workouts like insanity, T25, running, etc. you'll need one that's designed to lock them in for all that jumping around and pounding. So what should you look for? "The best sports bras are loose around the chest so you can expand your ribs and diaphragm more effectively. But they should also be form-fitting," says Deena Kastor. Just make sure the cup is made of comfy material (like a soft compression fabric; look for descriptions that include the terms "breathability" and "compression")—you don't want to be itching 10 minutes into your workout! Also go with what feels right on you, whether that means it comes from target, Walmart, or Victoria Secrets. You need to know that you won't be stopping 5 minutes in tow your workout adjusting, itching or pulling at your sports bra. Find a brand that best fits you and your needs!

Why Coaching?

Hello Everyone!!! Why I am a Beachbody coach? Why did I decide to do the whole coaching thing? Is it to make a fast buck? Is it just a part time job to make some extra spending money? Is it to be part of something bigger? Why? Why coaching?

I become a coach  in July of 2013. I just got back from visiting my fiancés family in San Diego, and I just felt blah. I worked out and lifted every day but I hated the way I felt. I needed Cardio back in  my life but I hated gyms and machines, didn't have time for classes, and no longer wanted to run and pound the pavement. So I saw my coach post about T25. T25 is literally 25 minutes of pure cardio. I believed that I could do that. That I could do 25 minutes after school and still lift in the morning. So I bought it. Not really knowing what I was doing and if it was going to work. Well, I feel in love with it and thought everyone should do it! Seriously who didn't have 25 minutes a day to workout. I also switched from drinking Isagneix to drinking Shakeology every day! I loved it!!! Shakeology made me feel good, gave me energy, made me feel positive, helped with my weight loss journey, and regulated me!

So I went to my coach and said I want to do what you are doing. I want to help others see how amazing these products are. So I jumped in to the whole coaching thing, not knowing again what I was getting myself into.

AND GUESS WHAT!!!!

Coaching has been the best thing that has happened to me! Yes I love to workout and eat clean, and I honestly started to help get me in shape for my wedding. But I have always loved helping others and I want to help as many people as  I can. I always say, if I didn't get paid to do this, I would still do it!But my Why goes deeper. There is a lot of disease in my family genes. Both my dads parents died before he was 19 years old. His dad died of a massive heart attack and his mom died of cancer. My mom's parents both passed before I was 19 years old. Yes I got to spend time with them and enjoy them but some of my cousins didn't. And my grandfather was a riot and I know my husband would have loved him.

So as a coach, my goal is to help everyone!! Help everyone live a LONG and HEALTHY life. No I do not believe in weighing 100 pounds and being toothpick thin! I believe in being healthy, fit, and strong. Everyone has a different goal, but everyone NEEDS to workout and eat healthy daily, especially if they want to be around a long time.

I want my parents to be around for my kids, I want my husbands parents to be around for our kids. I want our kids to know their grandparents!!! So yes maybe I am coaching for selfish reasons, but I want YOU to be around for YOUR kids or grandkids some day! I want YOU to be healthy, happy, fit, and strong so that you can play with them and not be weak or sick.

Food is the most important thing when it comes to nourishing our body, BUT if we eat the wrong things they can do more damage then good. That is why I drink shakeology daily and that is why I try to be a good role model to my husband and our parents. Shakeology isn't just an overpriced shake! Its worth every penny because you are getting 8 bowls of salad in 1 shake, you are getting 70+ superfoods in every shake! You are getting the healthiest meal of the day when you have 1 shake a day!

Don't be afraid of getting healthy, changing your lifestyle or stepping outside of your comfort zone. EVERYONE needs to do it, whether you weigh 120 or 320 you need to take control of your body, feed it the correct nutrients, and keep it moving so that when you are ready to have kids or your kids have kids, you can enjoy them and run around with them.

Grain Free / Gluten Free Pizza Crust thats not Cauliflower

Dinner last night was amazing!!! Who says eating gluten free, grain free and clean can't be fun!!! I made pizza tonight for dinner and it was all clean, 21 day fixed approved, and gluten and grain free!

I used my tortilla press to make small individual pizzas. The crust was made from almond meal, water, and Quinoa Flour. Honestly, the pizza was better than any pizza I would have gotten any where else AND I just had gluten free, organic pizza the other weekend! And mine I think was much better and cleaner!!! I was able to portion it all out.

You can make it any way, but the way I made it was a white pizza with cheese, chicken, tomato and spinach!! It was delicious. I seriously could have it every night for dinner! :)

Recipe is:

1/2 Cup of Almond Meal
1/2 Cup of Quinoa Flour
1/2 Cup of Water

Mix all three together, stir and then if you have  tortilla press, split batter into 4 equal parts and make one at a time. If not tortilla press, place one part at a time in frying pan and cook each one that way. When done add topping and place in the oven at 450 for 5 minutes,

Tortilla Press

This is one of the wedding gifts we got for our wedding!!! It is amazing!! I love it! It is a tortilla press which allows me to make tortillas, flat bread, pizza crust, etc. Last night I made grain free, gluten free, corn free tortillas. They were amazing, and my Hubby who likes most things but is very critical of the grain free things I make, and he LOVED them.

All the tortilla is made of is 1/2 cup of almond meal, 1/2 cup of quinoa flour, and 1/4 - 1/2 cup of water. It makes 4 shells. The whole process with the tortilla press is no more than 5 minutes. Its that easy. And then on the shells, I put ground turkey, cheese, spinach, and salsa.

The next thing I am going to make is pizza crust with the press. Stay tuned to find out, how it turns out! :)

Everything is moving, Everything is Chaning, Always

Good Morning! Happy Thursday!!!

Nothing ever stays the same. Everything  is in motion, always. Everything changes.

Life is constantly changing and moving. Why are you still sitting still?

Stop siting and waiting for the right opportunity! Get up and make the opportunity for you!

If I would have waiting for the perfect time to quick my full time job and start Beachbody full time, I would still be waiting! Sometimes we have to jump feet first into something, hope instead of hoping for the best, work our a$$ off to make it successful and everything we want it to be and more!

Sitting around won't get you where you want to go. Sitting around won't get you what you want!! YOU have to get up and work for it! Believe in yourself, learn from your mistakes and failures and keep moving ahead!!

Need help? Need that push to change? Message me! I am here for you and would love to give you the push you need to get changing.

Grateful

I woke up this morning exhausted but grateful! I am grateful for so many things in my life. I

am grateful that my husband landed on his knee and not his head. I am grateful for my

family and the support and help they have given us through this time, I am grateful for my

friends, who are constantly checking in on is, and most of all I am grateful for Beachbody!

Why Beachbody? Because I am able to work at home and take care of my husband and go

to all the appointments with him. If I wasn't doing Beachbody and still teaching it would be

harder. Also because of Beachbody I have met and made friends with the most amazing

ladies, who are constantly checking in and who I have just become so close to, that I know I

can turn to them for anything, even a should to cry on. I have a lot to be grateful for today!

Do you? What is one thing you are grateful for?

Day 1 of insanity

Good Morning!! Happy Monday! Day 1 of insanity is complete! I did the Fit test this morning. It was 26 minutes long. There was about a 5 minute warm up and 5 minute cool down. The fit test was 8 different moves done for a minute straight. The moves were different types of squat jumps, push ups, planks, kicks, power jacks, power knees, etc. All the moves were power moves that worked every inch of your body. I am not going to lie, I am actually sore after doing it. But it felt great and I am excited to see how my numbers increase over the next 60 days. The fit test is done again on day 15, so we will see then. Tomorrows work out is Plyo Cardio Circuit, can' wait to update you on how that goes. I am doing all these workouts in the morning. I am morning person and prefer to start my day with my workout. So 6 AM every morning is when I will be doing Insanity.

Here are my Fit Test results for Day 1.

Good Ole Grange Fair!

The Grange Fair - A Family Tradition

Ever since I was born I have been going to the Grange Fair. You may be wondering what the grange fair is.  The Grange Fair is a Family Tradition and has been going on for 140 years now. The Grange Fair is a city within a town. People come in to Fair and live for more than a week, in tents and campers. This fair is one of the biggest Fairs in the world. People not only come to live for a week but they come to see concerts, ride rides, eat the amazing and yet unhealthy food, play games, and of course see the livestock shows and competitions. The Grange Fair is one of the most uniquely friendly "hometowns" in America!

Like I said earlier this fair has been going on now for 140 years. I have been going to the fair for 30 years. There was never a year that I missed, even when I was in elementary school, middle school, and high school. My mom, who grew up going to the grange fair, pulled us out of school every year to attend this amazing fair. I never had a first day of school with everyone until I became a teacher because of the Grange Fair.

You may be asking what is so special about this fair, and honestly it is undescribed. This fair is seriously like no other fair. The tents that you stay in our like homes. They have beds, electricity, stoves, kitchens, tables, beds, couches, etc. This is not like a camping trip you to take to the woods. Many famous country stars started out preforming at the grange fair. Garth Brooks performed at the fair before he was huge. My uncle always tells the story how he went and saw him and said to my aunt,  he is going to be famous one day. And well I guess you could say he was right. :) The grange fair is a good luck for any and every country singer that has ever come to it, to preform.

We have our own tent at the fair. The tent is in the perfect spot, right beside an intersection. So I love to go and sit and just see all the people and old friends and family. Its like a HUGE family reunion. I have always enjoyed going to the fair, however, if I went for the week nowadays I would end up gaining 10 plus pounds with all the fair food. The bad thing about the fair is there are not many places to get quality healthy food. So this year I am going for 2 days and allowing myself to have one treat each day.

If you have never heard of this fair and live in the Centre County area or outlining areas, this is a must go to. Just for a day to walk around and take it all in. :)
