Health and Fitness Tip #13 - Be weekend warrior

Be a weekend warrior

You've been following your new clean eating plan to the letter, but enter: the weekend. To deal with three nights of eating temptations (think: birthdays, weddings, dinner parties, holidays), up your activity level for the week and on the weekend. For instance, try taking an extra 15-minute walk around your office each day, pushing harder, doing extra 10 minute abs. Then, go on and indulge a tiny bit, guilt free. Another party trick? Enjoy a serving of shakeology or a piece of fruit before a celebration, which can help you eat fewer munchies at the event.

Tony Horton / Birthday Weekend

Tony Horton and I at the Bryce Jordan Center in State College PA

Happy Monday!!! This past weekend was my birthday and the gift my husband got me was PRICELESS. He bought me a ticket to spend the afternoon with Tony Horton!!!

How?

Tony Horton came to State College, PA for the Health and Fitness Expo. I got a ticket to listen to him talk, have light refreshments with him, take my picture with him, get his autograph (twice!) AND I got to work out LIVE with him. The entire day was AMAZING!!! I loved every minute of it! Tony Horton is an amazing trainer, down to earth, and FUNNY guy!! I enjoyed listening to him talk and tell the truth even when its ugly! And the workout I did with him was amazing!! It was sweat from P90!! P90 is an amazing program for anyone and everyone of all ages, shapes, and sizes! This program gets you ready to take on anything and everything that you have been wanting to take, by starting you out slow and teaching you the moves so that you master the form! I can't wait to do this program. My mom actually started yesterday and loved it!

Weekend Hazard!

Good Morning!!! I am sorry I have been MIA the past few days. I like to post Sunday - Friday but this weekend my husband had an accident.  My Husband is a division 2 coach, and this past Saturday night after the game he was unloading equipment and gear off the truck and he fell out of the it and landed right on his knee. And for the past 2 days he has been home, resting it, and getting adjusted to the big leg brace on his left leg. We went to 2 doctors yesterday to find out if he needs surgery and what is exactly wrong with it. Both said he needs an MRI to tell for sure but it is looking like he  is going to have to have surgery. It's been a long weekend. And I know that it is going to be a long road ahead for us if he does need to get surgery. However, I am choosing to look at this on the bright side, because it could have been a lot worse. I am glad it was his knee and not his head or neck.

Here is a picture of my man sitting on the couch with his big leg brace.

Weekend Motiation

Good Morning! Happy Friday!!!

You did it!! All that stands between you and the weekend is the next 8 hours!! Remember you can do it! Just breath and believe!

This weekend work hard to stay on track. Make a to do list for each day! Make sure you fit your workout in or some physical activity that will get your heart rate up and a sweat going. Also make sure you stick to your meal plan. Don't fall of track and ruin all the hard work you did this weekend for that beer and pizza or those chips and dip! Allow yourself a treat if you want one but don't give in to the football party food! Remember you have goals to meet. Remember your why and what you are working for! Drink lots of water and most importantly, believe in yourself!

Need help? Need motivation and support? I am here for you!! Message me!!!
